I noticed that in the forum software you are using, when a person posts and supplies an email address, that email address is exposed as a mail to tag on the resultant page. This seems like it would be easily crawled by spammers and harvested. Can you do anything about this in general to not expose these email addresses. Sounds like something on your system restored an old version of your notes file. The most likely cause of this is that you have your 'My Documents' folder on a network share or have a 'roaming profile' or something. Maybe you used some backup/restore software to get some files back recently, and overwrote the Memento file by mistake? Memento stores its notes in a file called 'Memento.notes', which is in your 'My Documents' folder (wherever that is located). Do you tend to run your PC for weeks without rebooting it? This may also make the above situations more likely. My Problem is the following: I've got a Corporate laptop which is operating in a ADS-Domain-Network. My Corp. uses Roaming Profiles. My %USERPROFILE% is "C:\Documents and Settings\s4773" but my %HOMEDRIVE% is "L:\" which is a network share. The "My Documents" folder is on "L:\Daten" where memento put's it's ".notes" file. When I'm at home, and start my laptop, i'm not connected to the corporate lan. Therefor I enabled Offline Folrder Synchronization for Drive "L:" on my Computer. This leads to Windows sometimes syncing (and in fact overwriting) the ".notes" file when memento is running, or restoring the correct file, after memento has been started and already created a new blank one. Conclusion: I'm not able to use memento as the ".notes" file regularly gets corrupted. As for your question about the google cache, the note caches are not stored in those links files - they are simply dummy files to allow Google Indexing to work. GDS only indexes individual files, and the Memento notes are all stored in one file, so I have to fake the 'link' files to make it work. The link files are all 0 bytes in size, iirc.
